Wendy’s: Fast Food and Fast on their Social Media “Feet”

I am never someone to eat regularly at a fast food restaurant. I can always find something to scrounge up at home, but it is interesting to me how fast food restaurants have began such a strong presence on social media platforms. Wendy’s has recently become very popular on Twitter due to their intriguing tweets, commenting on other fast food restaurants and their brands. Some of the tweets can be quite hilarious, while others comment, saying they take them to far. I think Wendys is doing an awesome job by providing entertainment like this, especially to  the younger crowd (14-20) who is always on Twitter. People are obviously becoming more health conscious, especially within my generation. That being said, I believe with this much attraction to Wendys and their hilarious comeback tweets, we will feel inclined to “go and buy some fries from there.” Thus Wendys, accomplishing a goal. Wendy’s could however improve their presence on Instagram by changing up some of the  aesthetically pleasing pictures they post. They could post pictures and captions that align more with the strategy of their twitter. They struck gold with the following their tweets have, if they continue this vibe within their other platforms they will really have something.
